The question I get asked more than any other is what inspires me. Every month as part of my personal and creative process I make a mood board where I book mark all of my current favorite things (I'm an artist so I often change my mind) and I keep the folder on my desk top. I also live for print and I dog-ear all of my magazines so I can take a photo of the page or scan them and go back to them again and again instead of just ripping all the pages out. I'm really excited to start sharing my mood boards with you here on the blog so you can see a little bit of what I'm coveting and what is inspiring me both in and out my studio.
Right now I am all about black and white. I love September. I love those days that are still hanging on to summer but you can feel fall in the air. I love the promise of being on the cusp of a new season and getting excited about all the change that's to come. For me fall is usually about warm colors, leather jackets, apples and pumpkins but in September I'm not quite there yet. I still want to wear white even though it's after Labor Day (I don't believe in fashion rules) and I love combining it with black. It is so classic and timeless. I'm feeling this combo always but especially during this transition month of September. Throw in a little pop of color, a swipe of red lipstick to dress up your look or some bright, fresh flowers for your home, and I think you've got the makings of a perfectly classic look.

New work captured in NYC available soon in my photography shop. I loved the softness of the lace against the concrete and the toughness of the manhole.
I will always say yes to stripes, a statement cuff and a red lip. Via Pinterest.
I am obsessed with this Roll & Hill lamp. It's more like a sculpture than a light source but there's no reason why it can't be both.
A collection of my favorite flowers. Via Pinterest.
I love literally everything that Kelly Wearstler does but this living room and the rug are giving me life.
New black and white abstract photograph coming to the photo shop soon captured during my trip to Greece last month. I'm still dreaming of all the texture I found in nature at every turn. Really excited to start sharing some new work from my travels soon.
